Gemmology Practical Certificate

Gemmology Practical Certificate

If you’ve passed your Gemmology Foundation course and want to learn the practical skills taught at Diploma level, you can take the Gemmology Practical Certificate as a stand-alone short course. This allows students to learn more about a wide range of gem materials and gem testing techniques, helping them to accurately identify and test gem materials.

This is the same course as the ‘Diploma lab class’ component for the Gemmology Diploma. The Gemmology Practical Certificate is offered only on set dates in the UK, USA and Japan, and includes the practical exam.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
Those working in any sector of the trade or anyone who has an interest in gemstones can take this as a stand-alone course, either to learn about handling gems or to enhance existing skills. Current Gem-A Gemmology Diploma students are required to take this course as part of their assessment.
