From June 13, 2018 until June 13, 2018
Categories: Gem Central, All Events

Gem-A will be joined by Dr. Leon Barron, senior lecturer in Forensic Science at Kings' College London for a special edition of Gem Central.

Dr. Barron and his team have developed a technique for the recovery of human fingerprints from ivory. The technique has already successfully been used by the Kenyan Wildlife Service and has led to 15 arrests.

Join us at Gem-A HQ to find out more about this innovative fingerprinting technology, the implications for gemmologists, antique dealers, collectors and wildlife conservationists worldwide and to try your hand at testing using the ivory fingerprint kit.
