Accredited Teaching Centres

Gem-A Accredited Teaching Centres (ATCs) are institutions, colleges and schools that have been approved to teach Gem-A courses using our course notes and equipment. Find an ATC here.

ACCREDITED TEACHING CENTRES

How to apply

ATCs make it possible for students to have on-site, face-to-face tuition in their own region and, in some countries, students can study in their own language. Our course notes are available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese and French.

Because our Accredited Teaching Centres operate in a number of different countries, you must contact that centre directly to book a space on one of their available courses. Find an ATC below to find out more about course dates and how to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gem-A courses and qualifications are both high-level and officially accredited in the UK – Gem-A is an awarding body. This is one reason our qualifications are so highly regarded worldwide. All our courses emphasise the significant importance of rapid, self-reliant observational and practical ability, using a thorough knowledge and understanding of gemmological principles. Gem-A courses also foster the ability to choose appropriate testing methods based on intelligent observation for practical decision-making. The theory part of diploma courses helps you gain a deeper understanding of your decision-making processes in practical gemmology.

All students must be aged 18 or over to study with Gem-A.

No prior academic qualifications are necessary for enrolment on the Foundation Certificate in Gemmology, Diamond Diploma, or Diamond Grading & Identification courses. To enrol onto the Gemmology Diploma course, you must first have completed the Foundation Certificate in Gemmology course.

If English is not your first language, an English language qualification is required for entry on both the London and Online Distance Learning (ODL) courses. Accepted English qualifications include IELTS Academic (level 7) or TOEFL (score 95 – 120); please see our Terms & Conditions for further details.

For entry requirements to one of Gem-A’s Accredited Teaching Centre (ATC) courses, please contact your chosen ATC directly.
