Marie Chalmers is a Commercial Gemmologist (FGA, DGA) with over 25 years’ experience in the diamond, gemstone and jewellery industry. She has spent her career living and working all over the world, visiting mines, cutting houses, jewellery factories and pearl farms. She has worked across every corner of the industry, showcasing the expertise and sharing behind the scenes footage of all things jewellery and gemstones.
Marie is the founder of Chalmers Gems, an unusual gemstone business which sources gems from across the world. She shares the journey across social media, telling the story of the gemstones before they reach the jeweller. She has also recently set up Behind the Jewellery, a video media platform sharing positive stories about the jewellery industry and connecting businesses through video content and podcasts.
