Join Robin for an inspiring insight into the journey of a gemstone, from the mines he has visited around the world to the finished piece of jewellery.
Drawing on his experience as a designer, lapidary and master craftsman, Robin will share how sourcing exceptional gemstones, cutting and polishing them by hand, and transforming them into one-of-a-kind creations all play a part in his unique approach to fine jewellery.
Speaker: Robin Girling of Selini
Robin Girling is a designer and master craftsman whose career combines precision engineering with exceptional jewellery design. Originally a third-generation precision engineer and toolmaker, Robin developed a passion for jewellery after creating tooling for the manufacture of jewellery components. The opportunity to unite technical expertise with artistic creativity inspired him to establish Selini, where he designs and handcrafts intricate, one-of-a-kind fine jewellery from his workshop in rural Lancashire.
