This three-day gemmology workshop will help you to accelerate your knowledge beyond what you learnt on the Gem-A Gemmology Diploma course.
* Please note that this workshop takes place over three non-consecutive days – Thursday, Friday and Monday*
What will you learn? During this workshop, you will learn about gemstones beyond the Gem-A Gemmology Diploma syllabus, reinforce your practical gem-testing knowledge, learn more advanced testing techniques and how to test difficult stones.
Once students have completed this workshop, there is an option to take the FEEG exam the following day (Tuesday 1st July); however the exam is not mandatory. To learn more about the FEEG qualification and exam, please see the FEEG website (http://www.feeg-education.com/syllabus) or speak to a member of our education team.
NOTE: The FEEG exam requires registration and payment of a separate examination fee (£300), the deadline for entries is May 30th, we will not be able to take any further bookings for the FEEG exam after this time. Workshop bookings after this will be for the workshop only not including the FEEG exam.
Who is this workshop for? This workshop is for Gem-A Graduates who have achieved their Gemmology Diploma and would like to advance their practical gemmology skills on a wider syllabus of gemstones.
NOTE: The first two days of the workshop focus on gemstone testing and the third day is more specific preparation for the FEEG exam. If you are not applying for the FEEG exam, you may wish to just attend two days. You may select the appropriate ticket option when booking, or email education@gem-a.com if you have any questions.
