Main speaker will be Sarah Steele, FGA DGA. She’s a senior accredited gemmologist, Fellow of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain and graduate geologist currently working on her PhD Archaeology at Durham University. Sarah is an expert on the identification and utilisation of gem-quality hydrocarbons, including Whitby jet within the archaeological record.
